OIC CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE CESSATION OF INDIAN ATROCITIES IN OCCUPIED KASHMIR


OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani has expressed deep concern over the grave situation in the occupied Kashmir and called for an immediate cessation of Indian oppression and atrocities.  
He was chairing a meeting of OIC contact group on Kashmir on the sidelines of the 71st session of UN General Assembly in New York.    
In his statement, the Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz stated that the Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir had showed its most horrendous face in the wake of the cold-blooded murder of the Kashmiri youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani. He said over 100 innocent civilians have lost their lives, while more than 8000 are injured due to use of pallet guns and brute force by occupation authorities.
Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey also expressed grave concern at the serious human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
